Learn prices, look for deals in busy selling places, and then buy low, sell high.

read the posting rules for that thread and then put up some of the best things youare offering for sale. possibly they are not selling because everybody else is offering better for less. as for gold use collectors stuff and pick uo every gold and save. you will be surprised how fast it adds up. note that aside from some black dye i sold just before the august reset i have never sold anything for more than a hundred or so to the merchant. |

Spend a little time in the Trade forums (particularly the Price Check subforum). Learn to recognize the value of items. Minor tips include identifying everything before you sell it to a merchant and picking up everything that drops.

A few tips:
Grab all items dropped, even white ones. Buy Low, Sell High. Use an Identification Kit on all Armor bits found from Maguuma Jungle onward, as it will increase the merchant price for it. Running people from place to place gets a decent amount of gold. For Farming, try farming Minos in Elona Reach or Griffon's in Prophet's Path. |

I expert salvage armor at the higher-end areas, good way to pick up rare crafting materials - linen, steel, and leather squares. and even if you don't get those, you'll get enough Iron, hides, or cloth to make up for it.

Along with picking up all items, including whites, goes the fact that you should ID everything before you sell it. Each ID use costs 4 gold. White items can double in value after being ID'd, but will certainly gain more than 4 gold in sell price (granted they're from the latter half of the game).
